Custom Cabinets in Des Moines, IA

Des Moines sits in the Des Moines metro, and the homes here run the same range as the rest of the region — from older builds with out-of-square walls and plaster corners to newer construction with open layouts. Off-the-shelf cabinets fight both. A standard box shimmed into an older wall leaves a gap, and a run of catalog cabinets in an open plan often ends in a filler panel. Custom cabinetry solves it by cutting every box to your room.

The process is the same in Des Moines as anywhere we work in the metro. We come out and measure the space, talk through how you use it, and design the cabinetry around your life. You get a clear, written proposal before any work starts. Then your cabinets are built to your exact dimensions in our shop and installed by the same people who measured them.

How long it takes depends on the scope. Design and measurement usually run about a week. Build and installation commonly take four to eight weeks depending on the finish and the shop's schedule. We will tell you when the shop can start and how long your room will be without cabinets.

What it costs depends on the room, the wood species, the finish and the hardware you choose. Because every project is built to your room, we price from a written proposal rather than a flat rate. That proposal breaks out the boxes, doors, drawer fronts, hardware, finish and installation so you can see exactly what you are paying for.

We are licensed and insured to work in Iowa, and we stand behind what we build. Whether your project is a full kitchen, a built-in for one wall, or refacing the cabinets you already have, the process is the same: measure, design, build in-house, and install. Tell us what you have in mind for your Des Moines home and we will walk you through it.
